Geyser in Horizon by Yosemite

Great experience Positive: Beautiful place and clean. The stuff was really helpful whenever we needed them.

Lovely BnB stay in a gorgeous property with generous facilities Positive: - Beautiful property: large, spacious with very nice amenities like a small above ground pool (which we didn't use) and a jacuzzi (which we did use, every night!) - Full facilities was appreciated, with a full kitchen, so that we could feel comfortable making ourselves at home, especially when eating out is pretty expensive in the area and my friend had some dietary restrictions that made cooking at home ideal. - Super clean and pristine. - Very quiet: property is at the end of a dirt road on a hill, which made it feel like a secluded oasis in the middle of nowhere. - Other guests were respectful and friendly. - Communication with Anne (owner/manager) was always lovely and she was responsive to any and all of our inquiries in the weeks leading up to the stay, as well as during the stay itself. Negative: - Beds were a touch hard, even as a hard mattress lover; it started off great but a thin, soft topper would have made the sleep perfect. - We stayed in Bathroom setup being open concept was romantic if you're a couple but less so when you're a couple of friends. Wasn't a problem for us, but good for other travellers to know. Toilet is behind closed doors at least! - Breakfast was tasty but somewhat limited - muffins, oven-baked breakfast sandwiches, fruit, oatmeal, juice and coffee/tea; liked the format of self-serve but perhaps a little more protein would be ideal. - Warning that the drive to the entrance of Yosemite is about an hour away, though this is very typical for Yosemite, as there are very few properties close to the park itself. Not really a minus point, just an FYI to other travelers.

A really unique place, a hybrid between hotel (super high end private, beautifully designed room) and air bnb (home like space and outdoor area shared with other guests) that worked amazingly - we had a great mix of our own privacy but also got the chance to meet some other travellers over morning coffee or by the terrace / tub in the evening. After road tripping for 10 days, it was amazing to be able to cook and do some laundry whilst still having a luxury feel. Super location, gorgeous drive to Yosemite park. Despite sharing the communal areas, people were respectful and always left everything immaculate. Really recommend!!!
